Apples & Pears Collection

loophouse's delicious new collection was designed for Food with Thought event 2009 in the iconic Borough Market. 'Apples & Pears' is a playfully sophisticated range of rugs inspired by vibrant market life in London - highlighting scrumptious fruits in bold imagery, and the vivid colours of market stall drapery. The collection's namesake is the well loved cockney rhyming slang meaning 'stairs'. The event is ongoing within Borough Market SE1.
 
The designs in the collection include;

StripTease - The hustle and bustle of the busy market, with the occasional gust of wind passing through the aisle captures and billows the stall drapery.

A'Scrumpin' - The presentation of the harvest fruit in the orchard's rustic apple cart is too tempting to resist.

AppleBottom - The choice of the rosy red or crisp green apple offers a well rounded taste sensation.


JuicyPear - Succulent and ripe pears lifted from a coral coloured blanket form a mouth-watering display.
